How to Make a “Crown Chakra” Protein Bowl 👑.. with Purple Potatoes and Carrots

When it comes to food, color plays a big factor..

In my liking for certain veggies. Not only because I'm an artist and I'm crazy about all things vibrant & colorful but because there is such a thing as color psychology, where certain colors can influence your perception on certain things such as mood and taste (subconsciously).

This connection has allowed a lot of companies to market themselves using this psychological tactic where the consumer is targeted through their sight. Which is why I urge consumers like you and I to ask ourselves a few questions before indulging in our cravings.

Am I really hungry? Does it smell as good as it looks or does it have any smell at all ?

... and does this food hold any nutritional value to fulfill my dietary needs? This new perspective opened me up to exercise this tactic within my own cooking which gave birth to the idea of the chakra protein bowls that will consist of foods that target each of the chakra and their colors.

This is everything you’ll need to create this high vibrational bowl.

  • 4 purple potatoes
  • 2 ½ tbsp of vegan butter
  • ½ onion
  • 2 green plantains
  • 1 slice of Adasha
  • ½ bunch of kale
  • 2 purple carrots
  • ½ of a Spring green mix
  • 1 cup Cashews
  • 3 slides of dried chili lime mango
  • 1 vegan sausage

You want to start by washing your potatoes , then cutting them into cubes or prefer shaped ( the smaller the better to ease the mashing process ) then you want to bring them to boil for about 10-20 mins on high heat the same process applies for the cashew used to make the "cheese" sauce.

Once the potatoes are soft you can transfer them out of the water into a bowl for mashing. and your cashews into the blender for blending add plant based milk of your choose add herb & spices.

Once your base and sauce are done you want to move onto the sides that will fill your bowl. Shred your carrots , cut your kale , and combine with a spring mix or greens of your choice top with chili mango and grilled vegan sausage.

Then you want to make a bed of seasoned liquid to marinate your Adashah for few minutes before throwing it on a pan till golden on all sides. To complete your bowl add your cut plantain to fried then mash for a second cycle of frying to achieve maximum crispiness and you'll be on your way to enjoy a delicious Auntie Crown Chakra bowl!
